Colin Queen, a 20-year-old American racing talent, has been competing for over a decade with notable success. In 2024, Colin raced in the ultra-competitive and prestigious GB3 (F3) Championship, the UK's premier single-seater series. As a rookie, he outperformed his experienced Fortec Motorsports teammates across all metrics, including qualifying performance, race finishes, and championship points. Colin delivered an impressive 10 top-10 finishes and 2 top-5 results in non-reverse grid starts, showcasing his exceptional talent and consistency.
In 2023, Colin joined the legendary Fortec Motorsports team after his consistent, front-running performances in 2022 caught the the attention of the team and MSV, the promoter of GB4. His standout results earned him selection over two other promising drivers to receive a £20,000 scholarship toward his promotion to GB4. Colin’s rookie campaign in GB4 was nothing short of impressive, achieving 10 podiums, 2 pole positions, and 2 track records while finishing in the top 5 in 80% of the season.
His 2022 achievements were remarkable: 5 wins, 17 podiums, and 2 track records in the highly competitive BRSCC National and United Formula Ford Championships. He also made history as the first American to win several prestigious honors, including the Scottish David Leslie Trophy at Knockhill, the Jim Walsh Trophy for the Champion of Silverstone, and the Triple Crown Championship (Silverstone, Brands Hatch, and Donington Park) in the BRSCC. His consistent, front-running performances in 2022 captured the attention of MSV, the promoter of GB4. At the end of 2022, Colin was selected over two other promising drivers to win a £20,000 scholarship toward his 2023 racing plans.
Colin Queen has been a trailblazer for individuals born with the world’s most common birth defect, CHD (Congenital Heart Defects). As the only driver of his kind competing at the highest level of motorsport, Colin is breaking barriers and inspiring others to chase their dreams regardless of obstacles. Beyond the racetrack, Colin is a dedicated advocate and fundraiser for the British Heart Foundation, using his platform to raise awareness and support for CHD research and patient care. He also serves as an Ambassador for the renowned Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, contributing to their mission through fundraising and spreading awareness of the incredible care they provide.
An accomplished racing driver and passionate advocate, Colin is committed to giving a voice to the millions affected by CHD. Despite the fact that one in one hundred babies is born with some form of CHD, the condition remains underfunded and underrecognized. Colin's personal journey is a testament to resilience: by the age of three, he had already undergone three open-heart surgeries and numerous other procedures. Yet, he has defied the odds, refusing to let his challenges define or limit him.
Facing adversity head-on every day, Colin embraces life’s challenges with an unyielding determination. Through self-discipline, hard work, and dedication, he continues to demonstrate that anything is possible. Colin’s message to others is clear: “I’m proof!
Colin’s success in motorsports stems back to his start in karting at age seven. He has competed in the USA, Italy, Belgium, France and UK with SKUSA, LAKC, USPKS, WSK, and FIA.
