Colin Queen: From Single-Seater Standout to Sports Car Rising Star
Colin Queen has firmly established himself as one of the brightest American racing talents, proving his speed, racecraft, and resilience at the highest levels of competition. After an impressive campaign in the UK's prestigious GB3 Championship with Fortec Motorsport in 2024, Colin is now set to take on an exciting new challenge—debuting in sports car racing with ANSA Motorsports in the 2025 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series.
The 20-year-old has been competing for over a decade with remarkable success. In 2024, Colin raced in GB3, the UK’s premier single-seater series, where he outperformed his more experienced Fortec Motorsport teammates across all key metrics, including qualifying performance, race finishes, and championship points. His rookie season delivered 10 top-10 finishes and 2 top-5 results in non-reverse grid races, showcasing his exceptional talent and consistency.
His journey with Fortec began in 2023 after his standout performances in GB4 caught the attention of both the team and MSV, the series promoter. Selected over two other top prospects, Colin was awarded a £20,000 scholarship to compete in GB4, where he delivered an outstanding season: 10 podiums, 2 pole positions, 2 track records, and a top-5 finish in 80% of the races.
In 2022, Colin dominated the highly competitive BRSCC National and United Formula Ford Championships, securing 5 wins, 17 podiums, and 2 track records. He made history as the first American to claim several prestigious honors, including the Scottish David Leslie Trophy at Knockhill, the Jim Walsh Trophy for the Champion of Silverstone, and the coveted Triple Crown Championship (Silverstone, Brands Hatch, and Donington Park). His consistent front-running performances led MSV to recognize his talent, awarding him the GB4 scholarship that accelerated his career in single-seaters.
Now, as he transitions to sports car racing, Colin brings his signature speed and precision to endurance competition, tackling some of the North Americas most iconic circuits in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series. This marks a significant step in his career, blending his open-wheel expertise with the demands of high-performance GT racing.
A Champion On and Off the Track
Beyond his racing success, Colin is an inspiration and advocate for those born with Congenital Heart Defects (CHD), the most common birth defect in the world. As the only driver competing at the highest level of motorsport with CHD, he is breaking barriers and proving that no challenge is too great. By the age of three, he had already undergone three open-heart surgeries and numerous medical procedures, but he has never let adversity define him.
Colin is a dedicated ambassador for the British Heart Foundation and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, using his platform to raise awareness and support CHD research and patient care. With one in one hundred babies born with CHD, yet the condition remaining underfunded and underrecognized, Colin is committed to driving change and inspiring others to chase their dreams, no matter the obstacles.
Early Years and Karting Success
Colin’s motorsport journey began at age seven in karting, where he quickly made a name for himself. Competing across the USA, Italy, Belgium, France, and the UK with SKUSA, LAKC, USPKS, WSK, and FIA, he amassed an impressive list of accomplishments, including:
World Karting Association Grand National Champion
2x Junior LAKC Champion
Member of Team USA Rok Cup and Team USA FIA Academy Trophy
From karting to single-seaters and now sports cars, Colin continues to push the limits and prove that anything is possible. With his debut in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series, he enters a new chapter—one that promises thrilling competition and the opportunity to make his mark in endurance racing.
