GB4’s National Formula Ford shoot-out winner Colin Queen will graduate to the GB4 Championship with Fortec Motorsport in 2023.

The American, who was selected as the shoot-out winner following the assessment at Snetterton in October, won a £20,000 prize to put towards a drive in GB4, and has chosen Fortec as he climbs the motorsport ladder.

FF1600 star Colin Queen wins £20,000 scholarship for GB4

Colin Queen has received a £20,000 scholarship to be used on racing in GB4 in 2023 after winning a shootout for the top three teenagers in BRSCC National Formula Ford 1600.

The prize was created by GB4 promoter MotorSport Vision at the start of this year as it launched its new Formula 4 series, and with the BRSCC and Fortec Motorsports organised a shootout test this Tuesday.

COLIN QUEEN WINS NATIONAL FORMULA FORD GB4 SHOOT-OUT PRIZE

Colin Queen has been named as the winner of GB4’s National Formula Ford Shoot-Out, following the assessment day at Snetterton earlier this week.

The 17-year-old Californian wins a £20,000 sum towards a seat in the 2023 GB4 Championship partnered by the BRDC, and was confirmed as the winner during a presentation at Brands Hatch this evening (Friday), ahead of the upcoming Formula Ford Festival at the circuit.

It was a winning weekend for American Colin Queen at the Croft Circuit in Northern England this past weekend. Competing in the BRSCC National Formula Ford Championship, Queen pushed his Ammonite Motorsport team to a trio of podium results including a win in the third and final wheel-to-wheel race of the weekend.
